Hey all. New update!
Currently, Cause and Effect's development is still going strong, even a year after I originally began work on it. I've been working on polishing the earlier areas that will appear in the demo, and working on connecting the areas that I had already completed. Just some balancing to do now for Acts 1 and 2. Both branches of Act 2 are now feature-complete. That means that they can both be played through from start to finish, and have the full experience intact. (i.e cutscenes and the like).
I'm considering including Act 3 in the demo as well, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to complete it in time. I'm hoping to shoot for a Halloween release, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get it done in that time.
Artistically, the game has far progressed as my pixel art gets better and better. There are a lot more fully illustrated cutscene graphics now, and I am also revising the opening cutscene as well.
Just wanted to let you know that I am still working on the project, and you should keep checking in here to see what's up. Maybe there will be a new update! Anyways, that'll all from me for now. Thanks for reading! Here's a boss sprite for your trouble.
